Globe Super One Unlimited Text and Call

Globe introduces Super One Unlimited Text and Call for Php150 per month (postpaid) and Php175 per month (prepaid My Super Plan). The catch? Each Php150 or Php175 subscription will just apply to one Globe or Touch Mobile number.

This, I think, is targeted to couples and partners who always want to keep constant communication with their loved ones. It might be useful as well for parents who would like to keep an eye of their children, without getting the excuse of having no credits.

To register, text SUPER ONE <11 digit #> ON to 8888 (postpaid). For My Super Plan subscribers, text SUPER ONE <11 digit #> to 8888. Promo is until 9/15/10.

According to Abe of Yugatech, Super One is still under Globe's My Super Plan. The service will be made available to Globe Prepaid and Tattoo soon.

Hong Kong: Butterfly on Prat Boutique Hotel

It's my third time at Hong Kong in 4 years time -- I skipped year 2008. I brought my camera with me, but decided not to take pictures, as my trip was really more for relaxation and shopping, and not for sightseeing.

My trip was supposed to be a loner's getaway. The flights were booked late last year via Cebu Pacific's p1so fare promo (only Php1,219 round trip), and had no time to look for a companion for fear that the seats might be used up quickly. Lo and behold, a friend of mine expressed his wanting to join me. We just waited for a seat sale this year and finally booked his flights, same as mine.

I super love Hong Kong for shopping and relaxation. I don't want to live there, but I want to always go back -- at least once a year. This time around, we tried a new hotel based on friends' recommendation. It's called Butterfly on Prat located at Prat Avenue in Tsim Sha Tsui. We booked the hotel via www.asiatravel.com, since it's cheaper to book there compared to booking through Butterfly's main site. We weren't required to pay the hotel booking online, rather, we paid at the hotel on our last day. For 3 days and 2 nights, we only spent HK$1,300, where when split into two resulted to each of us paying HK$650 or approximately Php3,900.

Peace and Serenity at Misibis Bay

Words cannot express how beautiful, serene, and peaceful Misibis Bay was -- the place, people, staff, and views all summed up to a great weekend getaway that I've been waiting for several months ago.

It was Saturday, 12th of June when this exciting journey started. Our early morning flight was quite stressful. We were supposed to leave our car in the overnight parking space of the airport; however, since it was already full, we had to turn back and go to Park 'n Fly instead. When the free shuttle was finally able to bring us to NAIA Terminal 3, we were rushing to go inside for the luggage check-in. Lo and behold, we made it on time for our 7:05 flight.

Arriving 15 minutes earlier than the supposed landing time via Cebu Pacific, we're now at Legazpi City. It took us another hour to travel from the airport to Cagraray Island, where Misibis Bay is located. Passing by steep roads and crossing the river via a barge, it created a whole new different experience.

Here's a sneak peak of how the amenities and rooms at Misibis Bay look like:

PLDT SME Nation Launches Bossing Ako Campaign

Count on me, partner. That is what the PLDT SME Nation wants to tell the small-to-medium entrepreneurs (SME) here in the Philippines, as they launch the "Bossing Ako" campaign with that tagline. The campaign basically aims to push and encourage more Filipinos to strive for success, meet their business' challenges, and eventually become their own boss by becoming entrepreneurs.

PLDT SME Nation saw the importance of SMEs in the country, because they form the backbone of the Philippine economy. Through them and by them open doors of opportunities to create wealth, employment, and livelihood.

The launch was held last June 10, 2010 at NBC Tent attended by twelve Pinoy bossings, which were carefully selected to inspire growing businesses and owners through their humble beginnings and success stories.

Nokia Wants to Hear Your Stories

Nokia has been my partner in life ever since I had my first mobile phone. Through the years, I have tried switching to Sony Ericsson, Samsung, and Siemens, but I go back to Nokia after a short time. Why? Because the brand is very user-friendly, easy to use and learn, has good designs, and has a wide array of choices when it comes to model, accessories, and add-ons. Its form is suitable for my needs, its durability endures the test of times.

Just like my story above, Nokia Philippines wants to hear from you. Share your own story about the greatest, funniest or most interesting experiences you’ve had with your Nokia mobile device. Write it and flaunt it. Tell the whole world how your Nokia phone saved the day, how it helped you in that long distance relationship with your significant other, how it’s your new best friend and so on. Submit your story at http://www.nokia.com.ph/nokiastories and you might just win a brand new Nokia 2220 slide.

Indulge in Chocolate Fire

Friday nights are the best time to go out, chill, relax and be with friends as you welcome the weekend. Mine started out with a few close friends who, before I arrived, were trailing on an 8-hour client meeting. We wanted to veer away from the usual Friday-alcohol-bar type of gimik (which I was very glad of, since I don't drink), so we called and invited friends over to join us as we indulge in Chocolate Fire.

Chocolate Fire is a cafe/lounge/bar type of place where you can see a wide variety of chocolate deli. Mind you, their delicatessen isn't the normal type you'd see just anywhere, rather it's an exceptionally radical exploration of chocolate. The concept came to life 8 years ago and originated in Melbourne City, Australia. Aside from chocolates, they also offer sandwiches, vegetable salads, and several flavors of gelato.

Let's Toast to Ya Kun Kaya

T: YKK Facade; L: Hot Coffee; R: Frostea

Breakfast, snacks or after-meal food craving? Head on to Ya Kun Kaya Toast (YKK) in Ortigas for your dose of coffee, tea, eggs and toasts. They've made it specially different, so you need not fret that they're just your ordinary food stuff.

The coffeestall is the brainchild of Loi Ah Kun, which started in Singapore back in 1944. Its name "Ya Kun" came from the hanyu pinyin of "Ah Kun", while "Kaya" is a specially formulated jam recipe that contains coconut milk, sugar, eggs, and fragrant pandan.
