Unilab Ideas Positive Transforms Communities with the Filipino Youth

The Filipino youth of today is empowered with so many bright ideas that can really transform our communities positively.

Unilab, the largest and leading health company in the Philippines, through the Unilab Ideas Positive program leverages on the youth's creativity, experiences and idealism in order to find solutions to emerging and recurring health and wellness issues in communities.

The Unilab Ideas Positive campaign is a social marketing boot camp and competition-in-one for the youth. Now on its second year of working together with college students, Unilab believes that when two or more groups or organizations are working together in true Bayanihan spirit, addressing different issues in our communities becomes more effective and powerful.

Because Unilab values the students' hard work, they will not only be provided with a venue to be heard, but will also be funded Php100,000 for grand prize winner and Php75,000 each for two runners up. The prize money will definitely help the students realize their plans and further improve their endeavors.

This year, 11 teams have already made their respective videos and are in high hopes that you and I could view their them to assess who deserves to win. Let's all be part of the voting process, because this is also for our community's own good. Here's how:
  1. Visit www.UnilabIdeasPositive.com
  2. Click the "Videos" tab
  3. Users may vote for a video only once -- you may vote for multiple videos (being a fan/"liking" the UIP Facebook Page is a pre-requisite to vote)
  4. Voting ends on September 7, 2011.
Prizes are as follows:
  • Grand Prize Winner
    • Ideas Positive Trophy for their school
    • P100,000 seed money for the implementation of their project
    • P50,000 cash prize for the group members
    • P10,000 honorarium for the group mentor/faculty coach
  • Two Runners Up
    • Ideas Positive Trophy for their school
    • P75,000 seed money for the implementation of their project
    • P30,000 cash prize for the group members
    • P5,000 honorarium for the group mentor/faculty coach
I say kudos to Unilab for creating the Ideas Positive program, where students can be exposed on the problems of our country, and at the same time enable, motivate them to start working with fellow youths in making concrete difference that really matters.
