How sweet do you want your tea? What kind of texture do you want to feel when you sip through your favorite milk tea? Serenitea is like a celebrity that's been gaining popularity ever since it opened its doors to both tea and non-tea drinkers last year -- the former raving about it, while the latter discovers a new perspective of how different tea's taste can get.

Owned by Peter Chen (coincidentally my sister's batch mate back in high school) and Juliet Hererra, Serenitea is available in three of the most-visited places in the metro, namely Banawe, San Juan and Paranaque, and soon to open at Robinsons Place Malate and Alabang Town Center.

Ranging from Php55.00 to Php95.00 a cup depending on type and size, you can get yourself a freshly brewed tea with your choice of sweetness level (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% or even Splenda) and sinkers (crystals, QQ, pearls, egg pudding, lime jelly or black bricks). With the wide variety of choices including non-milk tea drinks, one will surely love going back from time to time to try all their drinks.

Aside from their celebrity drinks, one can also munch on their Taiwanese Chicken Chop, Peppered Corn or Tofu, which blends perfectly with the drinks.

I waited for my sister once at the San Juan branch, for 1.5 hours, and people kept pouring in. A lot of them only took their drinks out, since the place is small to contain a lot of people. They're giving out a loyalty card if you order Large drinks -- if you get 10 stamps, you're entitled to one free drink of your choice.
