Nivea Deodorant Invisible for Black and White

Deo's, deo's, deo's... there's so much of them out there. Whether you have bad odor or not, it's important to wear deodorant to prevent perspiration or unpleasant smell. However, did you notice that most deodorants available in the market leave stains on either dark or white fabrics?

A deodorant can cause two types of stains on clothing. First are white marks that appear on dark textiles immediately after application - these are actually residues of the antiperspirant salts used in the deodorant, which may be temporary and can be generally washed out without too much difficulty.

The second type are the yellowish stains left on light fabrics - these don't appear immediately, but may be noticeable over time. This is worse than the white marks, since they don't come out even with laundry detergent. As such, this can make the garment unwearable over time.

Good thing Beiersdorf, makers of Nivea products developed a new generation of deodorants that leave no white marks on dark fabrics and also minimize yellow stains on light-colored textiles.

The result of their research is the NIVEA Deodorant Invisible for Black & White. It has a textile protection technology, which allows the substances causing stains NOT to adhere so effectively to the fibers, making it easier to remove during washing.

I consider the NIVEA Deodorant Invisible for Black & White a great innovation! I just wish it had lesser fragrance, so it wouldn't contradict my perfume, but all is well as long as it satisfies its purpose.

NIVEA Deodorant Invisible for Black & White Power Spray (black tin can) costs Php170.00 for 150ml, while the Power Roll-on costs Php50.00 for 25ml or Php89.99 for 50ml. It's now available in stores nationwide.

Photographer's Friend: Crumpler Sebang Outpost

Sebang Outpost... what a name, right? At first glance, you'd consider it as one of those things that normally, you’d be ashamed to wear outside, lest you face the snickers and jeers of the people around you. But NO! Crumpler is at it again by showing us that it can take even the laughing stock of the bag world and turn it into the most functional and coolest-looking accessory you’ll need.

The Crumpler Sebang Outpost was certainly designed with one profession in mind: photography. The compartments inside the main bag are made to hold your standard DSLR camera, two extra lenses, and some additional accessories. It even has a special compartment to securely carry a 7-inch tablet, such as an iPad mini.

The front pocket allows for all your small knick-knacks such as pens, lens caps, additional memory cards and the like. Both compartments are pretty spacious too – the dividers within the main compartment are the signature Velcro flaps which allow you to customize its configuration. With all that inside, they’ll fit snugly so they don’t hit each other while you’re on the move.

Speaking of being on the move, the bag’s construction is very sturdy. The Crumpler Sebang Outpost is part of the Outpost Project line, which is Crumpler’s rugged models created to withstand harsh conditions that normal bags couldn’t. This allows you to take your camera and accessories out on hiking trips, keep it safe from severe downpours and nasty accidental falls. It’s just solid construction all around. The zippers are sealed tight to prevent any dust and water from seeping in.

An additional feature of the bag is that its strap is not limited to just hanging around your waist. You can stretch the strap out and actually make it a shoulder bag as well – making it convenient to carry either as a body bag or around your waist, keeping your gadgets no further than an arms’ reach away.

Since we’re talking about Crumpler here, it comes in some snazzy color combinations: midnight blue, orange brick or rifle green, which is what we have for review. All of these come with a bright blue and gray inside, which provides a nice contrast of color to an otherwise normal-looking bag.

The Crumpler Sebang Outpost is most certainly is one of the most functional and convenient bags a photographer can have. Just a fair warning though: once you have your own Sebang Outpost, you most certainly will feel the urge to get out of the house and may possibly consider never going back in again.

Suggested Retails Price: Php3,450

Available at the following Crumpler Store Branches:
  • Bonifacio High Street
  • Robinsons Magnolia
  • Shangri-La Plaza Mall East Wing
  • TriNoma
