Second week of December passed by so quickly, as it was filled with schedule after schedule mixed with spontaneity and busyness. I was only left with three working days, because I filed for a couple of leaves to attend to personal matters.
December 8 saw me at different places, attending to different things I need to do for myself. It started 10:30AM at St. Lukes Hospital when I finally paid a visit to my dentist for a dental cleaning, which I was supposed to have 6 months back. An hour later, riding the Metro-Rail Transit (MRT) rushed me rapidly to the Ayala Station to start another boxing fight as I renew my driver's license. Each hour passed by so slowly as I wait for the horrible slowness of the medical and drug test personnel. After four hours of waiting and finishing my tests, it was a big disappointment to know that their Internet provider (which is PLDT, by the way) was down and won't be able to process my license renewal. With disgust and angst, I hurriedly rode the MRT and decided to meet up with my friend Pam at TriNoma. Little did I know that this night will be a fun night of shopping and chit-chatting with a friend who has never failed to make other people laugh and smile. I ended up buying 2 tops from Dean and Trent that were on sale, as well as few items from my Christmas gifts shopping list. The night ended when we parted ways around 8PM, as I rode another MRT going home.
More stories and pictures after the jump.
The next two days of the week squeezed out the creativity juices in our brains, as we built our team's recycled Christmas lantern for a competition we really wanted to win. Led by Michael, we scrapped out our initial idea and came up with a lantern made of hangers, newspapers, Christmas lights, some metallic green spray paint, and colorful hand cutouts. Unfortunately, we only landed 2nd place out of 4 entries by a difference of 0.25 points. Nevertheless, the activity gave us the chance to bond and have fun as a team.
Friday night started hilariously funny when my friends and I watched the comedy musical play entitled The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati. It was actually my second time watching it, but I was still left laughing at the exceptional performances of the actors and actresses. I loved every bit of the play! We then capped the night off with a sumptuous dinner at Yellow Cab.
December 13 marked a great way to start the new week! I met two of my high school friends Annie and Lizelle to have a simple lunch at Bagoong Club, Tomas Morato, as part of my many celebrations for my 22nd birthday. With the homelike ambiance and delicious dishes, we were definitely satisfied. It was actually our first time to try the restaurant, and we didn't get disappointed at all.
