BlackBerry Software Update Officially Released

Research in Motion's BlackBerry has finally released the official OS6 software update. It's available for BlackBerry 9300, 9700 in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines, and BlackBerry 9105 for Indonesia and Malaysia only.

With OS6, you can have the ease of navigation and multitasking. To see more of what's waiting for you, watch the video below:

Updating the software will take 30 to 45 minutes to complete, but can be done in four easy steps:
  1. Go to http://www.blackberry.com/update
  2. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer using a USB connection packaged with the unit.
  3. Install the Application Loader tool on your computer (if you haven't already).
  4. Follow the on-screen instruction and don't disconnect your smartphone until the process is complete.
Note: For PC users, you should download the software using FIrefox or Windows Internet Explorer v5.5 or higher. On a Mac, you will need to download BlackBerry Desktop Software to update your smartphone. Once installed, connect your smartphone to your computer and you will automatically be prompted to update. BlackBerry 6 software is dependent on carrier and device availability.
