Deal or No Deal: Sites that will help you save! (Updated)

It has been a month or so since I've discovered websites that offer great deals -- you'd realize why they're great, as I list them one by one below. These websites helped me save huge amounts of money and made me try establishments I have never tried before.

How do these websites differ from others? They feature different deals like buffet, spa/massage, hair services, accommodations, activities, and other cool stuff at extremely low prices. The catch though is that you need to buy them as soon as possible, before the deals expire.

Instant Deals
The following websites have no minimum number of purchases required before the deals become active.

1. Cash Cash Pinoy "We Got a Deal"

(a) Deals up to 90% discount; (b) Easy and simple to use; (c) Refer friends and get Php100 on their first purchase; (d) Great deals especially on Fridays; (e) Fast turnover of new deals, while previous active deals are placed on the side until they expire; (f) Chance to win Php10,000 by signing up; (g) New deals are sent via email; (h) Complete payment options from credit card, debit cards to bank deposits and Globe GCash; (i) Available in Facebook and Twitter (@CashCashPinoy).

Lowlights: (a) Only offers deals in Manila, but are open to add new cities once the demand is seen; (b) Giving vouchers as gifts to friends is still under construction.

2. Deal Grocer "Offering You a Taste of the Good Life"

Lowlights: (a) Only limited payment options to credit card and debit card; (b) No referral incentives; (c) Payments are charged in dollars.

Lowlights: (a) No option to give vouchers as gifts to friends; (b) No Globe GCash payment option.

Conclusion

Each site has its own strengths and weaknesses, but at the end of the day, what will matter most are the deals they offer to consumers. These websites have grown popularity over time, simply because consumers are always on the look out for cheaper alternatives to deals they would like to avail.

Soon enough, the competition will rise and better opportunities will be offered. At this point, if you're a business owner, you can already start leveraging on these sites to make your brand known to consumers. Later on, you will reap what you sow, especially if your brand or service is really worth going back to.

Let me know how your experience went upon trying these websites. Also, comment below if you see new sites joining the bandwagon.

It's funny...I've already signed up for each one even before I've read this post. Hahaha..I find those sites really useful for finding great deals and discounts. I can get to try out the offers, going to restaurants for the first time and trying out new things to do without tearing a hole in my pocket! ~LOL! They're really great...they're such a huge money-saving deal!

nice. halos pare pareho lang gimmick nila. hehehe. pagandahan na lang ng discount.

Thanks for this!!! I've been penny-pinching lately (since I resigned haha), but it's so hard to stop shopping. So hard. Booohooohooo! These seem to be great spots for retail therapy. XD

Hi Glenn!
Thanks for the post! Very exciting moment for the e-commerce industry in Philippines.
Groupon system is just the first steps. Now, we gonna need to increase the type of offers to Filipino Netizens, not only in terms of Group Buying or flash sales, but in terms of online ecommerce proposals! That's our goal ! And we're gonna work hard of it, for the benefit of Filipino consumers! :)
Thanks again!

I didn't know about awesome.ph. .

I tried Twangoo twice (the cheesesteack and the cupcake) and worked great. It is pretty cool to have those big discounts !

Group Buying really helps to discover new places as well. Love that aspect

Michael

Groupie.ph is also launching very soon

in twangoo there is a referral incentive which is higher compared to others. If I will choose, I will choose 3, cash cash, ensogo and buyanihan. But seems buyanihan is getting better than ensogo. let;s See!
