Oishi Marty's Vegetarian Chicharon and Baked Porky Popps

We Filipinos love to eat chicharon whether it may be for snacks or for pulutan. Thanks to Oishi, they've made it very convenient to all of us by manufacturing two variants - Marty's Vegetarian Chicharon and Baked Porky Popps - which are readily available in most supermarkets nationwide. O, Wow!

To make it fun, we hosted The Crunch Between The Bunch, the ultimate chicharon face-off, over at our official Facebook Page. We gave our fans two sides to choose from - Team Pea or Team Porky.

#TeamPea / Marty's Vegetarian Chicharon
Why Pea? As a vegetarian chicharon, did you know that Marty's is made with dehydrated green peas? Yes, now you do. It's avaiable in three flavors: Salt & Vinegar, Plain Salted, and Spicy Vinegar. Take your pick and try it out!

#TeamPorky / Baked Porky Popps
This one is closest to the traditional chicharon we all love. It comes with the meaty goodness of lean pork skin, which are air-popped and baked - NOT fried. Therefore, it's 30% less fat and calories than regular chicharon. Its two flavors are: Classic Vinegar and Hot & Spicy.

After a week of votation, #TeamPorky won by landslide victory! And our lucky winner who will be taking home a huge Habi Bag (made by folks at Baseco) with tons of Oishi goodies is...

Gerome Vadeja

Congratulations, Gerome! Please wait for an email from me to know how you can claim your prize. Once again, thanks to Oishi and thanks to all those who participated in our giveaway. More to come, soon!
